As a 7 year old in 1984 I began to develop an interest in collecting cards. Primarily baseball and football cards, but also was open to collecting other cards as well. This was also around the time Garbage Pail Kids were the cool things to collect. For the next seven years I wound up spending every penny I had on these collectible pieces of cardboard. By the early 90's my collection was easily over 20,000 cards. I was proud of my collection and had a lot of valuable cards within it. But by the time I was getting ready to enter high school, my interest in collecting began to decline. I boxed up the collection and stored them off to be found later in life.
By the time I was 19 or about 5 years after parting ways with my hobby, I made the decision to part with my card collection permanently and sold off every last card to an aspiring collector looking to start his own business. This is a decision I would grow to regret.
In 2003 I began to develop an interest in collecting cards again, buying packs and boxes of cards whenever I got the chance, eventually growing my collection to what is now over 15,000 collectible cards.
In 2005 I decided that as a collector, one way to benefit a personal collection is to get involved more heavily in the hobby and open my own little storefront. This way I can buy, sell and trade cards not only to complete my personal sets, but also to assist the collectors in completing their sets, or helping them find that one card they are looking to collect.
